Alien MegaHero

The Alien MegaHero is primarily an analogue HD-TVI digital video recorder supporting conventional composite video alongside its high-definition TVI and, ahead of its time, supports two IP channels as well making it one of the first hybrid devices.

HD-TVI technology makes use of the existing RG59 cabling infrastructure and most accessories too, it is easy for the customer to upgrade step by step.

The Alien DVR range supports dual streams (main stream for high quality recording and substream for lower quality viewing), H264 compression, local and remote viewing via Windows and mobile apps, both supported by integral DDNS service for sites without static IP address. The DDNS service is included for 3 years but then becomes a subscription service (note: there are free services available elsewhere should you wish to investigate them).

The Alien range supports the Kommand and Kontrol relay box, making a realistic option for home and businesses users alike to remotely open gates, activate doors, lights or trigger the alarm-activated VoiceOFF loudspeaker unit too.

Remote Access
Remote access to this DVR is possible via DDNS using IPPOSTCODE (other providers are available) or static IP address.
AutoPort Plug-and-Play
AutoPort simplifies router port forwarding, it can automatically configure a compatible router allowing Internet access for remote viewing purposes.
Desktop Widget
The Desktop Widget allows single channel viewing on your Windows PC in a resizable window, it supports two way audio and relay control.
HD Recording
The Alien MegaHero DVRs support HD recording @ 720 from its 4, 8, or 16 channels.
Additional IP Channels
Two IP channels allow you to expand your 4, 8 or 16 channel recorder using compatible IP cameras such as the RoboF 6-22mm IR dome. The DVR is a 2MP device so the 5MP camera must be set accordingly.
